Echy wins the 2014 Moovjee "Innovons Ensemble" Award
ECHY won the grand prize in the 2014 edition of the Moovjee "Innovons Ensemble" Award.
Created in 2012, the Moovjee – "Innovons Ensemble" Award spotlights the creativity and innovation of young French entrepreneurs.
Founded in 2012 by two Polytechnicians from the Class of X2008, Quentin Martin-Laval and Florent Longa, ECHY is a startup that offers a clever, thrifty, and ecological alternative to electricity for lighting windowless interior spaces during the day. Their innovation? Adjustable sensors, installed on the rooftops or facades of buildings, which are composed of optical lenses that concentrate sunlight and transport it via fiber optic cables to glowing panels installed on the ceilings of rooms needing illumination.
ECHY thus provides natural light (with the UV rays filtered out) which is more cost-effective and comfortable than artificial home or office lamps!
