Long-Term Business Partnerships
École Polytechnique was one of the first higher-education establishments in France to establish an Academic and Research Chair, in 2003. Since then, other new Chairs have been established, and l'X now counts twenty three active chairs.
The Academic and Research Chairs aim to develop cutting-edge research and excellent teaching in innovative areas defined in coordination with the sponsor companies.
These forward-looking programs, run by teachers and researchers who are experts in their field, can include:
> teaching modules specific to the Engineering program,
> teaching modules specific to master's degrees,
> industrial research and development partnerships.
This long-term partnership is focused on teaching and its development, working closely with the Polytechnique's research center.
École Polytechnique thus establishes close and lasting relationships with the corporate sector.
Creating Chairs allies cutting-edge research and excellent teaching in innovative areas that interest and involve industrial partners. This collaboration offers businesses enhanced access to high-quality scientific research and to students trained in areas of practical use in industry.
