Two start-ups incubated at l’X take part in the European Venture Program
The founders of two start-ups incubated at École Polytechnique’s incubator, X-Up, took part in the European Venture Program organized once a year as part of the EuroTech Universities Alliance, which includes École Polytechnique. This year’s edition of this entrepreneurship boot camp took place from August 2 to 9, 2023. It embarked the participants on a journey to discover the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

Gustave Ronteix (X 2014), leader of the Orakl project (1st prize), Léonie Schröder (Télécom SudParis), leader of the HUVY project (2nd prize ex aequo), Hugo Weidmann (M 2021) and Alexander Dmoch (M 2022), leaders of the Noctua Care project (2nd prize ex aequo) won the 2023 Bertrand Pivin Awards. They were rewarded for their innovations in the healthcare field, which the jury choosed to highlight this year.

Polytechnique Ventures closes its first early-stage investment fund at €36 millions
Launched in 2020, Polytechnique Ventures is the venture capital fund financed by École Polytechniqu’s alumni and dedicated to the School’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. With nine investments already made, it aims to build a portfolio of 15 to 20 investments in the deep tech field within two years.

The start-ups included in the 2023 Next40 /FrenchTech 120 lists were unveiled on February 19th. Ten of tte 40 Next 40 start-ups were created or co-founded by École polytechnique alumni. One out of five French unicorns - start-ups valued at more than $1 billion - also originated from the X entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem.

The 2023 edition of the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas, the world's largest tech exhibition, took place from January 5 to 8 with a smaller delegation of French start-ups, including three young companies supported by the Drahi-X Novation Center, the incubator of the École Polytechnique, as well as Valeo's R&D center, which has been working on safer, cleaner, smarter mobility for several years.
