When altruism smooths social dynamics
A publication by the Econophysics and Complex Systems Chair at École Polytechnique, supported by Capital Fund Management, reveals how a minority of altruistic individuals can transform the collective behaviour of a system. This work illustrates how physics tools can contribute to a better understanding of social and economic dynamics and shed light on collective issues ranging from the organisation of human societies to the design of new forms of artificial intelligence.
