Polytechnician students for whom boarding is compulsory are housed in individual studios. Masters and doctoral students must submit an accommodation request. Accommodation will be allocated depending on the places available.
> Polytechnician students
These students are allocated studios called "caserts", equipped with a telephone and Ethernet connection. Being able to live on campus means they can participate actively in life at the École Polytechnique. There are two buildings reserved for married students.
The École Polytechnique endeavors as far as possible to help its students find the best accommodation solution for them. Certain applicants are given priority, however:
Accommodation is allocated first to:
- those arriving in France for the first time
- those with a low source of financing
The campus accommodation office allocates accommodation to:
- polytechnician students and military officers according to DFHM guidelines,
- masters and doctoral students according to Graduate School guidelines,
- overseas students according to the board of governors' guidelines.
