École Polytechnique is one of the founding members of the EuroTeQ Engineering University, founded in 2020 to design an innovative program to train European engineers. The European Commission has now extended funding for the successful European university until 2027. Dedicated to reinforcing the cooperation in education and lifelong learning between European universities of science and technology, the EuroTeQ Engineering University will comprise in the next phase of the project two additional partner institutions, HEC Paris and IESE Business School, and two associated partners, including Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
International, Institution, Sustainable Development
École Polytechnique’s presidency of the alliance spurs a unanimous commitment to accelerate sustainable development. EuroTech Universities Alliance president since June 2022, Éric Labaye, the Chairman and President of École Polytechnique and of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, welcomed the presidents of the EuroTech partner institutions at École Polytechnique for their annual meeting on June 7th, 2023.
The French Minister for Industry, Roland Lescure, brought together the heads of the 50 industrial sites with the highest greenhouse gas emissions. They detailer their strategy for reducing their emissions by nearly 50% by 2030.
