L'X was represented at the Smart City Paris Forum by Prof. Patricia Crifo

Patricia Crifo, Professor of the Graduate Degree program Smart Cities and Urban Policy, participated in the Smart City Paris 2017 Forum organized in order to discuss the best ways of Reinvesting the city.

"The coming years will open a new stage in the life of our capital: the Olympic Games will once again take place in Paris that has to be ready to face the great challenges of the 21st century related to climate, energy and the construction of smart eco-responsible cities. Reinvesting the city means joining all the creative forces in order to imagine Paris moving forward, it means giving this "city of light" an original urban radiance; it also means imagining new ways for a metropolis that creates wealth, employment, and values of sharing." - all these ideas were discussed on the Smart City Paris Forum 2017 organized by the administration of the city and La Tribune.

Patricia Crifo, Professor of the Graduate Degree program Smart Cities and Urban Policy of l'X, and co-director of the Sustainable Finance and Responsible Investment Chair, participated in the Forum. The Smart Cities and Urban Policy Graduate Degree provides an in-depth understanding of new and transforming metropolitan areas and their competitive environments. The program studies the 21st century metropolitan regions that are being transformed and are embracing new technological, urban and mobility challenges. In order to successfully fit into the metropolitan booming transformation, a lot of existing cities will have to implement an effective, sustainable and tailor-made economic strategy. Shaping new urban patterns, preserving and enhancing their environment, and striking a balance between fast rates of urbanization and people’s quality of life are among the challenges to overcome.
