L'X, the world's sixth most attractive employer
QS Graduate Employability Rankings, which ranks the best performing universities in terms of student employability from the recruiters' point of view, places École Polytechnique in the 6th position worldwide. L'X moved up 4 positions in the top 10.
For this 2nd edition of QS Graduate Employability Rankings, l'X is reinforcing and confirming the attractiveness of its graduates to recruiters worldwide. After the first pilot edition in 2015, which placed it in the 10th position, École Polytechnique now ranks 6th among the most prestigious universities in the world.
Jacques Biot, President of l'X, is delighted: "The professionalization of our students is our first concern and we are proud to have been ranked by QS in 2017 6th university for the employability of our students worldwide."
The University of Stanford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) respectively retain the first and second positions, now followed by Tsinghua University. The only French institution among the top 50, l'X stands out and still holds its position before Université Paris-Dauphine (51-70) and Centrale Supelec (81-90).
Graduate Employability Rankings aim to compare institutions according to their employability and no longer exclusively on the basis of their academic criteria such as the quality of teaching, or the number of international scientific publications and registered patents.
For this ranking, 300 universities worldwide were evaluated on the basis of five indicators: reputation in the eyes of employers (30%), former students' results (20%), partnerships with employers (25%), presence of employers on campus (15%) and graduates' employment rate (10%).
