THE ranks l'X among the world’s top 100 universities
Times Higher Education ranks École Polytechnique among the top 100 of the world’s 1,400 best universities. The school ranks 3rd among French institutions and 32nd in Europe.
L'X ranks 93rd in THE’s ranking of the world’s best universities. Times Higher Education revealed its ranking of the world’s best 1,400 best universities on Wednesday, September 11. École Polytechnique makes it to the top 100 and is positioned 93rd in the overall ranking. It is the 3rd French university, behind Paris-Science-et-Lettres (45th) and Sorbonne Université (80th), and the 32nd European university.
This ranking is based on 13 indicators that assess the quality of teaching, research, citations (influence of research), international perspective and industry-related revenue (transfer of knowledge).
All in all, 38 French institutions were listed in the ranking, including a first-time appearance for Télécom Paris, ranked 188th. Along with École Polytechnique, Ensta, Ensae and Télécom SudParis, Télécom Paris is a founding member of Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
