The European university alliance EuroTeQ is organizing a Spring School for teachers to explore inclusive and collaborative teaching practices on an international scale.
The research internship period of the University of Michigan’s "Optics in the City of Light" program concluded on July 28, 2025, at École Polytechnique. Eight students from eight different American universities participated in the program this year, each spending two months in the laboratories of the partner institutions located on the Plateau de Saclay. École Polytechnique leads this research internship program focused on lasers on behalf of Institut Polytechnique de Paris, in collaboration with Université Paris-Saclay, which is also a project partner.
As part of a joint research project with Christophe Josserand, Deputy Director of the Hydrodynamics Laboratory (LadHyX) and lecturer at the École Polytechnique and the CNRS, École Polytechnique welcomed a visit from Sergio Rica, a researcher from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC). This international mobility was supported by the Erasmus+ program was granted for its application to foster collaborations with partner universities in Chile.
From July 18 to 21, École Polytechnique hosted the International Physics Olympiad, the first time this event has been held in France since its inception in 1967. The event was an acknowledgement of École Polytechnique's eminent role in physics research and transmission. The event was also an opportunity to highlight the role played by women in key advancements of this scientific discipline.
École Polytechnique and the University of Pisa have renewed their double degree agreement, which enables students of the Ingenieur Polytechnicien program to specialize in physics at the prestigious partner institution in Italy during their 4th year of studies. Upon completing their studies for the Master of Physics degree at the University of Pisa, students will be awarded a diploma from the Italian partner university, in addition to their diploma in engineering sciences of the École Polytechnique.

The internationally renowned Slovenian mathematician Igor Klep is joining the Laboratory of Computer Science (LIX) and the Center for Theoretical Physics (CPHT) at École Polytechnique as a Gaspard Monge Visiting Professor. A professor of mathematics at both the University of Ljubljana and the University of Primorska in Slovenia, Igor Klep is collaborating on quantum information theory research with the PhIQus research group, led by Marc-Olivier Renou, INRIA Saclay Junior Professor Chair and affiliated researcher at LIX and CPHT.

École Polytechnique has signed a partnership agreement with one of Argentina's leading universities of technology – the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA). The two partner institutions will offer a new double degree program that will enable students from ITBA at Bachelor's level to pursue a Master of Science & Technology program at l’X while continuing to complete their four-year Bachelor's degree at ITBA.
The annual summit of the International Alliance of university presidents U7+ focused this year on "The Role of Universities in Advancing Artificial Intelligence". Invited as a panelist in the opening session, Laura Chaubard, President of École Polytechnique, was among the 37 university leaders who participated in this seventh edition of the U7+ Presidential Summit. The event brought together representatives from 42 universities across 16 countries at the University of Ottawa on April 22–23, 2025. As Canada prepares to host the G7 Summit in June 2025, this year's U7+ Summit concluded with the official delivery of a communiqué, endorsed by U7+ member universities, to the Canadian government. The document underscores higher education institutions' crucial role in shaping responsible AI.

To promote the on-going education of professionals and respond to contemporary technological challenges on a European scale, it is launching the EuroTeQ Professional Education catalog.
