Sergio Rajsbaum, researcher at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and CNRS, has spent seven months at École Polytechnique as a Gaspard Monge Visiting Professor. During his visit, he and Professor Éric Goubault further developed a new research line focused on the connections between epistemic logic and distributed computing. This was also the theme of an international workshop organized by the researchers on June 15 – 17, 2026.
Three Master of Science & Technology students won this year's EuroTeQaThon with their project. The international student competition organised by the European university alliance EuroTeQ took place from 13 to 15 June 2026 at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). This first-place finish at the EuroTeQaThon marks a first for l'X since the competition was created.
In May, Micah Goldblum, an assistant professor of electrical engineering at Columbia University, spent four weeks at l’X as an Alliance Visiting Professor. His stay at the Center for Applied Mathematics (CMAP) enabled him and El Mahdi El Mhamdi, a professor at École Polytechnique, to advance their international scientific collaboration, which also involves PhD students from both institutions.

Internationally renowned physicist Eberhard Gross has joined Lucia Reining's team at the Irradiated Solids Laboratory (LSI*) as Gaspard Monge Visiting Professor. Together, they are working on theoretical methods for efficiently calculating the quantum properties of materials. Supported by the Fondation de l’École polytechnique as part as the “Servir la science” fundraising campaign, the Gaspard Monge Visiting Professor Program enables the institution to host leading international researchers and foster high-level research collaboration with École Polytechnique’s researchers and laboratories.
Against a backdrop of rising geopolitical tensions, six second-year Cycle Ingénieur Polytechnicien students participated in the British Model NATO, held on February 25 at the British Foreign Office.
