L’X, ranked 60th best university worldwide
École Polytechnique rises 5 places in the latest QS World University Rankings and ranks 60th worldwide. L’X is the second best French university.
On Wednesday, June 19, 2019, QS unveiled its sixteenth edition of the World University Rankings, ranking the world’s top 1,000 universities. L’X saw a 5 place increase since last year and now ranks 60th worldwide.
This improvement is mainly due to two key findings: the number of citations by faculty in main scientific publications and the number of international students. Furthermore, employer reputation is the highest ranked indicator for École Polytechnique with a score of 99.3 and a corresponding global rank of 13.
In this ranking, l’X is second among the 31 best French universities, behind Paris-Sciences-et-Lettres (PSL), and 15th in the 400 European ranked universities.
The top three institutions remain American: MIT is followed by Stanford University (2nd) and Harvard University (3rd).
